Picture hanging hardware
Basically, picture hanging hardware falls into one of two categories: hardware that is attached to the back of the picture frame and hardware that's needed to put the frame up on your wall (hooks or nails or picture rail).
Before using our systems, just check whether your pictures already have the necessary loops, hooks or wire attached to the back of their frames. STAS picture hanging systems carries a variety of hanging hardware, art hanging hardware and picture hanging brackets designed to help you mount your frames, canvases and other items securely and elegantly. How to use picture hooks
STAS self-adhesive dibond hangerThe STAS self-adhesive dibond hangers is a metal, self-adhesive plate with a hook which makes it a perfect product for mirror hanging hardware. The STAS dibond hanger can be hung with suitable hooks and cords or it can be attached to the wall with a plug and screw. The product includes wall hook, mounting plug and screw. For secure, heavy duty picture or mirror hanging. Flat surfaces such as art and photographs on acrylic, dibond, plexiglass or aluminum are perfectly (and invisibly) to mount with the STAS dibond hangers. You can combine the STAS self-adhesive dibond hanger with a STAS picture hanging system, which allows you to hang multiple objects as a gallery. A combination of frames (in different sizes, shapes and colors) makes it a beautiful and cheerful whole! Important when applying the STAS dibond hangers is that the surface is dust and grease free. After cleaning the surface, place the dibond hanger in the right place and press it firmly for 10 seconds. Then allow the dibond hanger to adhere for 30 minutes before hanging up an item. The STAS dibond hanger is available in two sizes: small (to carry up to 6.6 lbs - 3 kg) and large (to carry up to 13.2 lbs - 6 kg). You have an item that is heavier than 13.2 lbs - 6 kg? No problem! It is important to take into account the maximum carrying capacity of the hangers. You can mount multiple STAS dibond hangers to increase the carrying capacity. For instance, a 22 lbs - 10 kg piece of art can be easily hung this way with 2 large STAS dibond hangers mounted right next to each other. |

STAS sawtooth hangerSTAS sawtooth hangers are a good hanging system for frames and canvasses. Because of the zig-zag pattern, the object doesn't slip from the hook sideways. How to hang a picture frame with sawtooth hangers? Simply mount the sawtooth hanger on the back of the picture frame and hang the picture frame by sliding the sawtooth hanger over a nail in the wall or use a STAS picture hanging system in combination with hanging cords and hooks and slide the sawtooth hanger over a picture hook (STAS zipper or STAS smartspring). |
Hardware for picture hanging systems
Most of our picture hanging hardware is related to hanging pictures with a picture hanging system. We offer various types of picture hanging systems, all of which feature a different type of picture rail. Here's a short overview:
The STAS minirail is the narrowest picture hanging system in the world, it is only 16 mm (0.63 inches) wide.
The STAS cliprail max features a top rim that connects with your ceiling: ceiling and picture rail merge visually.
The STAS cliprail pro is a thick-walled and massively strong heavy-duty rail for loads of up to 99 lbs per linear meter.
The STAS j-rail max is mainly used for professional applications, such as galleries and museums.
The STAS prorail flat is a rail that can be almost invisibly concealed in plasterwork, flat framework or a molding.

Picture hanging hooks
We offer two types of picture hooks that are to be used in combination with a picture rail and cord. Together, these three elements make up your picture hanging system.
STAS smartspring can support lighter frames of up to 8.8 lbs.
STAS zipper supports heavier frames of up to 44 lbs (if used in conjunction with a steel cable).
By gently squeezing the hooks, you can slide them up and down a cord to adjust the height of your pictures. As often as you like.
For professional use we offer a museum quality hanging system, the STAS j-rail max. This system uses hooks in conjunction with rods instead of cords and wire. The hooks for this system can carry up to 88 lbs or 220 lbs, depending on which type of rods and hooks you desire.
Picture hanging cords
We offer two types of picture hanging cords: perlon or steel. Our cords are specifically designed for STAS picture hanging systems. They are hooked into your picture rail by means of a steel tip called cobra. The main advantage of the perlon cord is that it's transparent, so it's almost invisible. It can be used with the STAS smartspring or the STAS zipper hook. The steel wire is suited for hanging heavy paintings and can be used with the STAS zipper only.
